What we do

Overseas Research and CSR Projects

Many organisations and companies have clear Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes, and sometimes it's hard to know how to best allocate funds, and how to put together proper sustainable projects.

Our consultants have considerable experience of organising and managing successful and sustainable field projects worldwide. We work with local communities, schools and orphanages, or in partnership with environmental bodies and conservation groups and we pride ourselves on building good relationships with our project hosts.

Our principles are clear that any project should fulfil a real need and be sustainable. Guided by local agents with a real understanding of the issues and opportunities on the ground, our goal is to establish achievable, meaningful projects that will, with careful cooperation, evolve and grow to create tangible and worthwhile benefits for all involved.

Crucial to the success of any project is establishing clear objectives for all parties. Whether the aim is personal development training, corporate team building, or cultural awareness, we will work closely with all parties to ensure that objectives are understood and that the nature of project reflects this.

Iceland Case-Study

In early 2007 we set up a long-term sustainable working partnership with UST in Iceland. The UST volunteer programme was established in 2003 to assist with the practical management of Iceland's national parks and other nature protection areas. Programmes include all types of practical conservation work but also heritage work, research initiatives and wilderness management.

Our first team worked out in Skaftafell National Park in the summer of 2007, working alongside rangers and Icelandic young people on a range of conservation tasks including land drainage work, hiking trail maintenance and bridge repairs. The park is Europe's largest, containing the biggest ice-cap in Iceland from which huge glaciers roll out down valleys. It is a spectacular place for teams to work and stay for the time they're there. To find out more, visit UST's website on www.ust.is.
