Sentinel Consultants have years of experience of working in remote regions and in some of the world's most dangerous areas. We use this experience to support clients in two key ways:
Travel Safety Systems
Over the years we have assisted companies to put travel safety systems in place to prepare, assist and track their travellers. This can be a simple as setting up an on-call system, tracking key staff via mobile communication or implementing a real time satellite tracking system back to a call centre.
We have worked with several companies that provide support systems and we see our role as helping companies select the right provider to meet their specific needs.
Training Solutions
In addition to the above, we offer tailored training to staff travelling overseas. Topics cover:
* Pre-trip Research
How to research your trip, covering basic facts about the destination, money, accommodation, transport, visas and general travel advice.
* Arrival In Country
Airport information, meeting local contacts, ongoing travel and situations to avoid.
* Personal Safety
How to behave/local customs, how to keep a low profile, safety in cities and remote locations, communications, driver safety, kidnap, political demonstrations, terrorism.
* Hotel and Medical Issues
Accommodation selection, fire-safety and location. Also focussing on First Aid training and where to get medical help, from local clinics to hospitals to medical evacuation services.
* Contingencies
What to do if things go wrong.
Who can you turn to for help? What role do Embassies play? Whether it's
a logistical problem (lost passport or money) or a serious incident where
you may need help from local contacts, the Embassy or insurance, we can
advise on your best course of action.
